Yoga – What kind do you need right now?

Yoga – which type is for you?

We want you to get the most out of your yoga classes at The View Studio and that means finding a style that fulfils the needs of your mind, body and spirit in the present moment.

One session can help to transform your day or life for that matter, by improving your mental wellbeing, as well as acting as a prompt for you to change certain behavioural patterns that might be holding you back.

It can help you to feel stronger, flexible and more open minded.

Vinyasa Flow

If you love to spend time with like-minded people or you are an extrovert this is the yoga for you.

If sitting still and meditating through a stressful period doesn’t float your boat, and you could do with an energy boost the fast paced, flowing sequence of postures will give you just that.

The flow class creates a sweaty, aerobic workout designed to build lean muscle tissue and give your metabolism a boost, improving circulation and elevating your heart rate.

Although these classes can be challenging, by starting with the Yoga Basics and then moving on to the Improvers or Core Flow class you will soon master the moves, giving your self-esteem a huge boost.

If you are generally a busy person, this class will give you an opportunity to feel calmer, allowing you to synchronise your breathing with movements, focusing your mind away from your worries or stress.

Tues 6.30pm Yoga Basics

Thursday 6.40pm Yoga Improvers

Saturday 9.00am Core Flow

Hatha

If you crave time on your own to clear your head and think, Hatha Yoga is a good class to take.

Hatha Yoga is the generic term given to any type of yoga that involves working through a series of postures. It is considered a little more gentle than other forms, providing a good grounding for learning the basic postures and breathing techniques.

As a total newbie to Yoga, Hatha Yoga’s gentle moves will help to ease tension, improve flexibility and is suitable for all levels. The focus on breath and alignment will allow you the time to feel restored and relaxed.

Monday 12:00pm Power Chi Yoga

Tuesday 1:00pm Active Stretch

Friday 07:30am Rise & Shine

Meditation

If you are craving clarity and direction and more focus on the present, mindful movement and meditation will help you to bring your attention time and time again to your breath and the sensations in your body, allowing you to open up to the fullness of the present.

If you are feeling lost or looking for a more life changing style of yoga this is the class for you, helping you to live mindfully and manage your emotions. Although a gentler form of yoga, this class can be deeply nourishing and supporting in our efforts towards health and wellbeing. Suitable for all.

Tuesdays at 7.30pm Meditation

Fridays at 6pm Meditation by donation

Yoga at The View studio

Remember you may think one type is for you but enjoy another upon trying. Don’t limit yourself and every now and again why not try a different class to see if it suits or is what you need at that point in your life.
